~ Writing Poems ~

Hey humans!
Welcome back to another blog!
This blog will be about writing poems. In the Kaupeka Hub, we have been writing poems this week. One for our Writing WS and one for our Reading WS. I will be sharing both of my poems! My 1st poem is from our Reading WS, and it's about my trip back to the Philippines! My other poem from my Writing Workshop is pretty different. We had to watch 4 videos and choose 1 out of 4 of the Poem Rules. I chose Limerick, I was about to pick Haiku but I chose Limerick because the rules were pretty easy. I will be sharing pictures of my poems below here \/ \/ \/ \/

Anyways, that's all for my blog. Goodbye, have a Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year!

~ Top Teams 2019 ~

Hey humans!
Welcome back to another blog.
This blog will be about Top Teams! If any of you have been reading my blog for a year or two,
I wrote another blog about Top Teams too! Top teams came back to us for another game!
This time, we did ALL of the mini-games. My favourite is definitely the water activities!
We were all put in different teams, and I was in team 11. The people in my team were; Cleo, Paige, Grace, Jayden, Lexus, Charley and William. It was really fun! The first water activity that we did was where we had to get a container and we then one person had to fill their container up and then they had to pass it to the person behind them without looking, and then if your the last person, you have to spill it in a big container and you still can't look. I'm pretty sure we filled it up! Anyways, the next water activity is where there was a wooden pipe facing upwards and there were holes, 3 people had to get bowls and cups, fill them up and pour it in the open side. Our goal was to fill up the pipe as much as we can without any water spilling! The other team managed to win though.

Anyways, that's all for this blog. B Y E!

QOTB: Have you done Top Teams before? If you have, give me a rating of 1 to 10!

~ We're TOUGH! ~

Hey humans!
So I went to a park to do a Tough Kids challenge!
It was REALLY fun! We crawled in mud, ran in water and also climbed a fence!
Tough Kids was also on 1 News. Although I wasn't on TV.. I think.
I was SO muddy! It was kind of hard to get changed since I was kind of wet.
Me, my friends Sam and Sophie ran together. We did all of the obstacles which were so fun and missed none! Except the last bouncy castle at the end.

~ Create Task ~

Hey humans!
Welcome back to another blog!
This blog will be related to my last blog.
If you haven't seen it, this is what it says.
"So I've been reading a book called "Under The Sea" and it's about people trying to learn and find different species! And some schools help!
I'll be sharing about what I wrote about the book called "Under The Sea!"
Many people go Scuba-Diving but I personally haven't, but I would really like to!"
Anyways, I've updated the picture and made it more better.

Question: Since December is coming, what intro should I have for this Christmas Season?

~ Whew! I'm sweating hot! ~

Hey humans!
Welcome back to another blog. This blog will be about Sports!
I have been learning about sports at the school I'm currently attending to!
The sports we did was Korfball, Cricket, Softball and Lawn bowls.
I have currently gone to Korfball, Cricket and Softball, they were all REALLY fun!
I mostly enjoyed Korfball though since it was kind of like Netball.

Korfball is kind of like Netball but we were allowed to just walk with the ball.
But then we decided to make it more fun by not walking or bouncing the ball.
And then our last new rule was that girls were only allowed to prevent the ball from getting to a girl and the boys were only allowed to prevent the ball from getting to a boy.

Anyways, that's all for this blog. BYE!

~ Mind Your ATTITUDE! ~

Hey humans!
Welcome back to another blog. This blog post will be... Awkward. I will be talking about my sessions at school and it's about...

PUBERTY. *Horror music with thunder*

This is really awkward. Anyways, we had a session with "Attitude" and they told us about puberty. (PS. I'll be talking about really weird things like... Periods.) What I learned about the session is that boys have.... *long silence* wet dreams. If I'm being honest, this makes me uncomfortable talking about this. I learned that girls get mature more early than boys, so if you find that boys are being REALLY immature, that's just puberty. Girls start getting... periods.. between 8 - 16. There's a thing where girls are either early bloomers or late bloomers. (I'm a late bloomer. But it's not that bad!) I learned many more things but I choose not to tell you guys about since its really awkward.

Anyways, that's the end of my blog, I hope that I didn't do anything horrible to you humans or anything but.... yeah. BYE!

~ Under The Sea! ~

Hey humans!
So I've been reading a book called "Under The Sea" and it's about people trying to learn and find different species! And some schools help!
I'll be sharing about what I wrote about the book called "Under The Sea!"
Many people go Scuba-Diving but I personally haven't, but I would really like to!

Question: Have you gone ever gone Scuba-Diving? If you have, on a rate of 1 to 10, how fun was it?

Anyways, that's all for this blog, bye humans and see you another time!

~ Watercress Egg Salad ~

Hey humans! Welcome back to another blog!
As my stay on Earth, I have learned about a recipe called Watercress Egg Salad. I though it was a salad but it was actually a sandwich! It was amazing! For the Kaupeka Hub, we had a shared lunch on a Friday, the day that we did Book Character Day. I shared the recipe that I found and it was from England. Feel free to try it out because I wrote a recipe that you can check out! \/ \/

English Sandwich - Watercress Egg Salad

The Watercress Egg Salad is an English Sandwich from England. The Sandwich includes eggs, mayonnaise and watercress.

Ingredients -
4 eggs, 4 tablespoons of butter (Soft or soft plain butter), 4 tablespoons of mayonnaise, salt, pepper and paprika for taste, 8 slices of bread, ½ cup of Watercress. Optional ingredient: Fresh Parsley.

1) Gather the ingredients that you will need.
2) Hard boil the 4 eggs (or more) at a time for 15 minutes.
3) When the eggs are finished boiling, peel the shells off and mash them with butter using a potato masher or a fork (or other things, if you have anything else to mash them with.)
4) Mix the mayonnaise, salt, pepper and paprika into the mixture, about 2 pinches. If you want, feel free to add sugar
5) Spread the mixture onto the slices of bread.
6) Add the watercress onto the bread with spread.
7) Add the parsley if using. (Not required, optional)
8) Cover the sandwich with a slice of bread when finished.
9) Done! Enjoy it!

Anyways, I hope you enjoy trying it out. BYE!!

~ It's fun to stay at the YMCA! ~

Hey Aliens! I stayed at YMCA Wainui Camp for week 3!
Whew! I cannot take this any longer! It was TIRING tramping to camp! We had to walk uphill and then downhill and then uphill and then down again! My legs were broken afterwards! We stopped for a few times but it was still painful walking again. The cabins were pretty nice but I didn't get a bunk bed so I didn't feel cozy. Also, for this blog, I will be sharing my reflection! We went to camp from 29th of October to 1st of November.

What I found Challenging -
I found High Ropes, Coasteering and Orienteering challenging.
High Ropes: Some of them, I had to face my fears, especially heights, I was kinda scared to go up high because I was scared to fall and hit my head even though I had protection on. I didn't trust the people holding onto the rope because I was scared they weren't ready!
Coasteering: It was hard to move from rock to rock since it was a bit slippery, but the barnacles were helpful unless it scratched you, ouch! Coasteering was still fun though.
Orienteering: It was kind of hard to try and find the signs and some of them were hidden really well. Me and Tremaine, my buddy I was working with, were a bit scared. Well, I think I was the most scared. I was mostly scared of Stinging Neetle and other harmful plants.

What I enjoyed the most -
I found High Ropes, Coasteering, Kayaking and Raft Build pretty fun.
Some of them I said I found challenging but that's what the fun it about! Challenges you have to face!
I really liked jumping off the rocks and into the deep water at Coasteering, but I was safe, I had life jackets on and a helmet! High Ropes was really high (duh) but it was fun swinging down and facing challenges, again, I had a helmet on. Kayaking was fun, we did Kayak Doubles and I did it with Joanna! It was fun doing it  with her. We got to do challenges for Kayak and one of them was that we had to jump in the water and swim around the boats and I decided to do that but I realised I was really bad at swimming! Raft Build was fun, making knots and mostly making the raft, but what was really fun is that we got to go in the water on our rafts! Joanna and Roza fell off, and the raft didn't even tip over!

What I learned -
I've learned many things like tying knots to hold a raft that we made together and I also learned to jump of rocks. I learned how to belay for High Ropes. I learned about plants and tree's, like this one tree that had leaf's that reminded me of lemon and lime!

What I'm grateful for -
I'm grateful that we got to go to camp and the I could afford it, since it was so expensive. I'm grateful that we had equipment to have fun, especially with Coasteering that they had wet-suits, they said it was $400 each! I was so happy that parents volunteered to come since we wouldn't have if they didn't. Steve, my friend, Cleo's dad, was really sweet and supportive! I hope he comes to one of our activities again.

Question: Do you think you would go to YMCA Wainui Camp? I recommend it!
