3D, 2D and Square Nets!

Hey guys, welcome back to another blog! This blog will be about Maths. I have gone to a workshop and my goal in that workshop is "Relate three-dimensional models to two-dimensional representations, and vice versa."

I have created a google drawing including a 3D picture of that shape, a 2D version and a Square Net.

And one of our tasks was to fold the square nets to see if they would make a square.

For the net, you can print it out and fold it to see of it makes that shape.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this blog. Byeee!!!

Question: Have you ever done something like this? Or similar to this?

How to Wash your Hands!~

Hey guys, welcome back to another blog. This blog, I will be sharing instructions on how to wash your hands! The reason why I made this is because it's for my Writing workshop.

My goal for my Writing workshop is "Use a variety of sentence structures, beginnings and lengths to give effect." Then I had to choose out of these 2, I had to either write how to wash hands or how to tie shoe laces. So I chose how to wash hands, since it seemed a lot easier. The video was about showing kids why it's important to wash your hands with soap.

Anyways, I hope you learned how to wash your hands (your probably already know.)

Papau New Guinea ~

Hey guys, welcome back to another blog! This week, I have been working on Making Connections in my Reading workshop.

We read about Papua New Guinea and I made a mind map about it. I wrote 4 stories from the website and then I made connections with them. I will be showing you my mind map!
Story 1: They catch fish, my connection is that I've gone fishing with my family.

Story 2: People constantly tried to steal their land, my connection is that I read about the Treaty of Waitangi's timeline and people tried to steal their land.

Story 3: They collected sand and then turned it into glass, my connection is that when I played games and I had to turn sand into glass.

Story 4: The water wasn't very safe, and if you drank it, you would get sick. My connection was the water in the Philippines wasn't safe and their rivers were full of pollution and trash.

Anyways, I hope you learned a thing or two in this blog. Byeee!!!

Question: What connections do you have with Papau New Guinea in this blog?

2 0 2 0 ~

Hello! I'm Katrina just in case you didn't know. I'm so excited for what 2020 will bring to me and this school, whether it's bad or it's good or it's bad. My goals are for this year are:

- Be a really good role model and a great leader for the younger kids.
- Make my work to be better than great, and make it to a high standard.
- Get a Silver and a Gold Literature Badge.
- Make the correct choices wherever I am.
- Complete a lot of goals on LINC-Ed.
- Step up and volunteer more.
- Do something and help the school more.

For the holidays, I didn't really go to many places, I didn't go to any other countries either. But I did go to Hamner Springs for the first time! It was kind of crowded so honestly, my visit was okay. We also got a holiday home with some of my family friends. It was really fun! It was 2 stories and I got to sleep on a bunk bed! I mostly either played on my laptop or watched Netflix, heh. I'm that type of person. Before our trip to Hamner, we kept on changing it, we went from going to Little River to going to Hamner, the mountains and hills and animals were amazing! I loved seeing the mountains and the hills. I also went camping with my family friends too, it was fun. I got to sleep in a tent with another family friend, and it was kind of big! I also got more interested with my skin care and how I took care of myself. This holiday honestly helped me a LOT.

I hope you had an AMAZING holiday, I would really like to know where you went. Bye!!
